A Few Minutes Ago

In the kitchen after dinner Odell was helping Cecilia clean the dishes while Lily was in the living room watching tv. As the two were finishing up Odell felt four auras not far from their home. He became a little interested as he could tell that the two weaker auras were running away from the stronger ones. He looked towards that direction and saw two twins, a boy and a girl around Lily's age.

They looked extremely exhausted with their pale faces as they ran through the dark alleys of the night. He saw as the pursuers had evil grins on their faces as they looked at the two as prey. Figuring that they were assassins of some organization sent to finish the mission. As he finished up the dishes, he told the two that he has to go meet some people and he'll be back soon.

"Okay be careful, there have been reports of missing people lately" said Cecilia with concern on her face

"Don't worry I'll be fine trust me" smiling as he replied

"Okay I trust you" while blushing a little

"Big brother Dell you'll going out" asked Lily

"Yes I'll be back soon, and i'll be bringing back some guests" said Odell

"Guests who are they?" asked Lily curious as they don't get much guests here

"You'll see them soon" said Odell smiling at her

"Okay" replied Lily

"Oh before I go, can you two prepare one of the big rooms on the 2nd floor for me" asked Odell to the two

"Yes we can, is it for the guests are they staying over" asked Cecilia

"Thank you and yes probably for a few days or so. Do you mind heating up the leftovers we have I'm sure they'll be hungry"

"Alright"

"Thank you Cecilia and you too Lily"

"Of course"

"Hehe you're welcome big brother Dell"

"Alright I'll be leaving now thanks again"

As they told him bye see you in a little bit, the mother and daughter pair went to do what was asked by Odell.

Once he was outside he vanished from where he stood and appeared in the dark alley where he saw the twins and the assassins had stopped. As he got there unnoticed by anyone he knew that the two assassins were in the Late layer of the Foundation Building Realm. He heard and understood that they were just enjoying the thrill of the hunt as they could have killed these kids a long time ago.

They were sadistics who enjoyed the look of despair and false hope as their prey thought they could get away but truly none ever did. Together they were called The Torture Brothers even though they're not blood related. Hearing what they said to the two scared and helpless twins who wished for a miracle.

Odell was completely angry thinking about the time he saved Cecilia and Lily and a similar predicament. Asking himself people truly don't care if they're kids or not as long as the job is completed which touched Odell's bottom line. Even though he's a being who far surpasses the Cosmos itself, he always felt that no matter what a child shouldn't be involved in disputes between adults no matter what the purpose may be.

So walking from the shadows as the man who was about to make a move on the kids from the leader who has the brains. They stopped as they heard echoes of steps coming out from the dark which put them both on guard as they saw an out worldly handsome young man. They both thought to themselves

[Who is he, how did we only knew he was here now and why is he here] Torture Brothers

As they saw this mysterious young man told the twins that they are safe now and he will handle the rest as they fainted from exhaustion and hunger. Then his next sentence made them mad but as they felt his killing intent they were also scared. Both of them were frozen in place as they didn't know what to say or do at first until the leader finally couldn't take in how scared he was even though people are terrified of him, not the other way around. So he recovered his witts and said

"Who are you and what business do you have with those two" said the leader of the two

"Mar let's just kill him along with them" said the other one

"Lent shut up don't you think something is wrong look at him" said Mar with some anger

"What about him just some stupid pretty boy who wants to be a hero" said Lent

"No idiot think I don't feel any mana from him but something doesn't seem right" said Mar who was confused and wary of Odell

"He's just some ordinary human who's acting tough" said Lent with disdain towards Odell

"No even with ordinary humans we could of sense him but we didn't and another thing all beings have mana but he doesn't, don't you find that weird" said Mar suspiciously

"He's just one of those people who was born without mana, you're worried about nothing let's just finish him off along with the brats" said Lent with an evil grin

"Fine but make it quick he gives me an uncomfortable feeling so the quick we kill him the better" said Mar with some worry

"Alright I'll finish him quickly" said Lent

Lent took a step towards Odell's way as he licked his daggers with a sadistic look and said"

"Too bad I can't play with you. We have a mission to complete and some human with no mana isn't going to get in our way... Aye Mar maybe he has some treasure on him that made him have blind confident" said Lent

"Maybe then we'll take them after killing him" said Mar

[I hope that's why but I still can't shake this uneasiness about him but why]

"Hehe, heard that your little treasure won't make a difference so...Die!" said Lent with a sinister smile as he slashed his daggers while covering the blades in red mana indicating he uses the fire element. Just in case Odell had a treasure that could produce a barrier.

As he slashed while having a look of expectation of seeing Odell's body collapsing into burnt pieces he soon changed his expression as he felt his daggers hit what feels like a wall that was stronger than the strongest metal in the world. He had the look of shock but then thought that it was because he had a defensive treasure on him which made him decide to use a stronger attack.

Before he could, Mar felt even more sure that they shouldn't stay here any longer and was about to tell Lent to retreat first after seeing how that attack didn't work. But what made him more sure of leaving is that he could tell that Odell didn't use any defensive treasures or anything so it made him more unease to stay any longer. And that's when he wanted to tell Lent to retreat and report back to the organization and they'll take care of the rest.

He couldn't as he froze in place after hearing Odell speak after so long thinking he was afraid when really he was waiting for an answer to his earlier statement.

"So you have chosen the second option… Good" said Odell with a cold evil grin of his own

"Lent retreat now" shouted Mar to Lent

"What Mar retreat because of this human with...

But before he finished he saw the grin on Odell's face with changed his expression as he felt a sense of death coming for him but as he tried to retreat away he felt something that made him scream out loud in this dark alley at night but they didn't know Odell put up a barrier that makes them invisible and no sound was able to leave from it but they could hear the outside which is why they didn't notice it.

Lent felt as he's body and soul were painfully torn apart from each other slowly making it feel as if he was being sliced into millions of pieces. He could see his soul being separated from his body as Odell smiled coldly towards him as he pulled Lent's soul with the power of his origin skill soul extraction. Mar was also watching this unbelievable scene happening in front of him as he was scared out of his mind.

"W-what is going on h-how can I see Lent's soul being torn from his body and why?" he said gulping in fear as he looked towards the young man who had a grin on his face as he knew it was his doing

[It's him but I still can't feel any mana or treasures being used so how.]

"Who are you, no what are you, how come I can't feel any mana from you but it looks like this is your doing so how" asked Mar anxiously as he was preparing the profound rank teleportation skill which could take him a few miles outside the city. It was enchanted into their organization's token. He realize this will be his first time ever running away from an enemy and someone he could even feel mana from which put a gloomy look on his face as he gritted his teeth and thought

[When I return to give information on what has happened here the organization will send some people to kill you. And I'll make sure I'm there to see how you die miserably]

As Lent's soul had finally separated and Odell was holding it in his hand by the face Mar silently used the teleportation skill and disappeared from the dark alley heading back to Fermin City where the organization resides. He made his way into the city and went towards the organization called Silent Killers. Once he got there he was greeted by the lower ranks but he ignored them as he hurried to the leader to report important information.

Once he got to a giant door with a blood red snake logo with black crossed daggers through it. He pushed the doors in and hurried to where the leader, vice leader and unit leaders were talking to a middle aged man with red hair and eyes with a height of 1.90m and strong build. He was at the Upper layer of the Half-Mana Immortal Realm and close to breaking into the Late Layer. They seem to talk to him in a respectable tone.

When Mar saw the man he stopped and slightly bowed towards him as they all noticed him and looked towards him with wonder as he looked to be in a hurry. The his leader who was sitting across from the middle aged man spoke

"Mar have you finished the mission and where's Lent, has he already went on another mission already" said the leader

"That's what I came to report immediately sir, Lent's dead" said Mar with a gloomy expression

Every member who heard that was shocked to know that Lent died during a mission.

"How did he died from a mission that was only to kill two brats, did that had some helper we didn't know about" said the leader as he looked towards the middle aged man as the man shook his head no

"Yes they had a helper but something is weird about him" said Mar

"What's weird about him" asked the leader

"I can't feel any mana from him and he doesn't seem to have any treasures that can disguise is mana and make it appears as he has none" said Mar as he told what he remembered

"So he was manaless, are you sure" asked the leader

"Yes sir even how Lent died I didn't feel any mana being used" said Mar with a horrified looked which everyone caught but was puzzled as to why since the person was a manaless

"How did Lent died" asked the leader with a slight cold voice

"The young looking man had used something that tore Lent's soul from his body slowly and as that was happening Lent could feel everything he was in so much pain he couldn't even pass out. But before I left I saw how he held Lent's soul in his hand and began to squeeze it with a ruthless smile as I left" said Mar describing the scene of Lent's soul being torn from his body

It was silent for a few moments before the middle aged man finally spoke

"So how did you survived" asked the man

"Mr.Lark, it was because I felt from the beginning that something wasn't right about him as he appeared unnoticed by the both of us but Lent conniviced me it was because of some treasures. I was still a little skeptical but decided it was just my imagination and let Lent kill him quickly so we can finish our mission" said Mar as everyone heard his story and felt it was unbelievable that someone could appear undetected and kill one of them

"That wasn't what I asked" said as he stared at Mar with narrowed eyes

Mar was a little scared since this man was the current head of the Lark Family which was also a 4 star family and the one they're cooperating with to take over the Fermin underworld while helping them with getting rid of the Porters Family. He believes it's more like the Silent Killers are his subordinates then being in a cooperation. He looked towards his leader and his leader shook his head telling him it's fine to tell him so Mar turned his attention back to Mr.Lark and said

"It's because every member has a profound rank teleportation skill enchanted into their tokens in case of an emergency" said Mar as some people didn't want anyone to know but had to listen to the leader's orders as he gave him permission.

"I see, that's pretty thoughtful for a assassin organization" said Mr.Lark with a grin

"Of course we aren't that despicable that we wouldn't look after our own people" said the Leader

"I know Victor" said Mr.Lark

"Mar you got away but are you sure you weren't tailed since he's a helper for those brats which means he could have tailed you all the way hear plus we have their parents captured here until they give what Randal asked for" said Victor as he and Randal were neither hostile or friendly towards each other throughout the years of now one another

"Yes sir I'm sure I made sure to be more cautious by changing directions multiple times.

"We'll send some people to clean up your failed mission but for now you may leave" said Victor

"Wait you said he pulled is soul out from his body without doing anything right" asked Randal

"Yes, Mr. Lark" responded Mar respectively

"Soul extraction" muttered Randal

"Soul extraction what kind of skill is that" asked Victor as everyone was as curious as him

"It's an Heavenly Rank Skill but only people at the Mana Immortal Realm or above could use it as they have already started to learn how to separate their soul from their body and so doing that to others would be something they can do but at that level he would have to be at least a Sky Immortal but they can't come to the lower realm or suffered being restricted to the Mana Immortal Realm" explained Randal

"So that's it" said Mar

"Are you sure he didn't use any treasure it was a soul treasure that had that skill enchanted into it why he was able to even without anyone knowing since it's a soul skill that don't need mana to activate as someone could have activate it from another realm but it's highly unlikely so it was probably just a soul treasure he found and could only use once but the knowledge of the skill is still in the soul treasure. I'll be sure to get it from his cold corpse. Interfering in our plans, he only has one end and that's death" said Randal with narrowed eyes

As he finished talking, everyone heard someone slowly walk out from the shadows undetected by them which made them extremely wary as they got up from their seats. They saw an unfamiliar young man who had an out worldly appearance and with one eye being completely black and the other was changing in colors every couple seconds which made him both terrifying and fascinating as he stopped and looked at everyone expressionless. He stopped at Randal and said with a grin

"Are you sure?"
